Hi! We are Emilie and Annika. We met while working at a café in Whitehorse four years ago. We became fast friends and quickly dreamed up what would become Sunshine & Wild Co.
We are so grateful to call the Yukon Territory our home and wanted to show off parts of this place that we are all proud of: climbing crags and towering mountains and wild flowers. We wanted to design something that would showcase the spell of the Yukon; why people come and why they never leave. We resolutely decided to make our brand as friendly for the planet as possible and have done everything we could to build a company that we- and you- can be proud of.
Meet our illustrator
Hi everyone, my name is Charlotte. I am a self-taught artist originally from Vancouver, British Columbia. I am currently based in Whitehorse and get to call the beautiful Yukon Territory my home. I enjoy painting and illustrating the things that bring us back to the place where we feel most at peace and grounded: mountains, trees, bodies of water, sunrises and sunsets.
I got my first glimpse of the Yukon back in June of 2022. Within my first 24 hours here, I knew a move was inevitable. The connection I felt to the land and the people- like Emilie and Annika- was instantaneous. At the time, I had no idea that we would all be fostering this dream of Sunshine & Wild Co. so quickly. I am honoured to be their primary illustrator and help them bring their visions to life.
